ANTM

This is it. We're down to two contestants on America's Next Top Model Cycle 15. This is the one show I watch religiously. Wednesdays are my night to completely dork out. "Sorry, can't tonight. It's ANTM," has come out of my mouth more times than I would like to admit. So the two finalist are Chelsey and Anne, which in the beginning, would have been surprising to know.

Chelsey is really a classic beauty. Blonde, fair, good bone structure, but she doesn't really stand out when it comes to looks. She's definitely improved though! She's getting stronger in her modeling, she knows the profession; she's confident, competitive, ethical and honest. She's not my favorite, though.

Anne is my favorite, and has been from the start. Like Mr. Talley said on the show, she has some sort of super natural force propelling her forwards. I watch her through the entire episode and she is shy and gawky and doesn't really look like a model and then you see her photos at panel and they are just magic! If you've been watching the show, you've been hearing this all season, so I will keep it short.

I must say though, I find her very relatable. I didn't realize how shy I was until I reached my twenties. I had no idea I was so quiet. To me, I'm always interacting with people, but come to find out observing people doesn't count as being social really! Anyway, it was kind of hard to hear the judges tell Anne and Jane they have no personality when that is not what it is at all. Their personalities are reserved, quiet, perceptive, and observant, but these are hard attributes to pick out when placed next to the attributes of an extrovert. Anne is still so young. She still has time to grow and her personality is still going to evolve regardless of what she is doing or where she is. I hope the judges can see that there is a real possibility of her evolving into a much more outgoing person and give her the title.

For those of you who have been watching, who do you want to win? Who do you wish were still in the running?

I wish Kayla was still on the show! Such a pretty girl! I don't think she's Top Model, but I think she's very good.

I haven't been watching the show, but this post touches on something I've pondered. I would guess that most fashion bloggers such as yourself and myself and Zoe and and and are basically introverts and that blogging is a way to manage our interaction with others.

I too have been watching and love Ann to win, but in today's world and in any career field, you have to have a personality to move forward. She's come this far to be the top two models and if that doesn't boost her confidence, I don't know what will. As for blogging, it took me a long time to post my own pics because I had this perception of how I looked, but as I post more pics, I feel a bit more confident in the way I present myself. Sorry to ramble.

Hey!
just found your blog and I am totally the same about ANTM!!
This last episode where they were teaching the girls to show emotion and express themselves, I realized that maybe I don't project or speak loudly enough, too.
And while Anne takes good pictures, I think she needs way more time to gain confidence.
As beautiful as she is and despite her pictures...I think Kayla should have stayed. She pushed through discomforting issues she had and was brilliant.
Whoa I totally just went on there. ^____^
Love your blog! Sorry to blather on about ANTM!

Such good responses! I think there are more "shy" people out there than you would think, it's just that when you get older you have to deal with it or sink. There are so many times where I have to just bite the bullet and go talk to strangers, etc.

I agree with you, Cinnamon Wren, about Kayla. I thought she was really solid thru the whole season. They never had anything bad to say about her!

I'm religious with it, too although I was forced to miss two episodes.

I have to say first that I really miss Esther. I found her to be one of the most stunning women I have ever seen, and seriously- any girl that hide such ginormous ta ta's has incredible amounts of talent. I think, though, that I missed where she must have really tanked because either way: I didn't see it coming.

But deep down I have really been rooting for Anne. I had a sneaky feeling that she would either win or make it to the end (also due to the fact of a kind of strange backlash from the trailers of the 1st episode).

And I have to say that I am not at all a fan of Chelsea. I find her to be very vacant in the ways of brains- and yes, she knows some fashion stuff- but really, that should not be a reason why you will make it to the end.

I was really surprised to see last week how much Jayne had grown. I thought that alone should have amplified her chances- whereas I giggled through Chelsea's video. Heh, oh well. I don't make the decisions around there.

Of the final two though, I've got all of my faberge eggs in one big Anne basket.

AH! IT'S TONIGHT!!!!
