Just kidding!

Just as I'm about to give up and start planning for Fall, Summer pulls a fast one and the temp reaches 83 degrees. Not to get into weather too much, but we always know when things are warming up or cooling down in Seattle. This Summer has been completely unpredictable, though! It'll be 56 one day and 78 the next!

I styled a couple outfits the other day, in anticipation of Fall (and because it was cool) and I'm seeing a lot of stripes in my future. They are with me in the present, as well. My love affair with stripes smolders on!

The only summer pants in existence

I didn't think it would happen, but we finally had a day too hot for American Apparel harem pants. Although, I must say I wasn't miserable. I wore them to work with a black tank top and gray ankle-strap sandals from Forever21. The cafe was crazy today, so I'm glad I wore something comfortable and with a lot (A LOT) of coverage. These pants are seriously one of the best things I've ever bought from American Apparel.

summer pants

Surprisingly, these are great summer pants. The fabric is light enough and loose enough to stay perfectly cool. It doesn't cling but is still stretchy enough to allow for conversions. So far, I've found 3 different ways of wearing the waistband, including high-waisted, folded down, and, like in this shot, pulled up over the chest to create a pantsuit effect.

If I had the money I would wear nothing but American Apparel and J.Crew
